Newtown 10k

LOWE MISSES OUT AGAIN

Oswestry vet Ian Lowe, who was second in last month's Chocaholics 5k in Newtown, was pipped again in the Newtown 10k, this time beaten by Aberystwyth student Scott Hudspith.

 In last year's race Hudspith, from Tamworth, finished seventh in 39.23, but this year he showed a huge improvement, clocking 35.55.

 In third place was the remarkable M55 Edward Davies, whose daughter Jacqui Loxam, took the ladies' title.
