SMALL TURNOUT ON Y GARN
A busy calendar is believed to be the main reason for a disappointingly small turnout for the Garn race and although it was wet underfoot conditions were generally very good.
The event (2.5m, 1,500ft) was dominated by veterans, with Lloyd Taggart leading all the way.
Results: 1 L Taggart (Manx, M40) 27.39, 2 N Ashcroft (Ambleside, M40) 30.47, 3 P Jenkinson (Eryri, M40) 31.52, 4 N Craine (Eryri, M50) 33.10. Ladies: M Oliver (Eryri, L60) 47.23.
Juniors (1m, 350ft): 1 K Richard (Eryri) 8.19, 2 G Wyn Jones (Eryri) 10.18, 3 H Lloyd (Warrington) 10.22.
