EXPERIENCE TRIUMPHS OVER YOUTH


Veteran John Parkinson took advantage of an error by teenager Cai Linton Davies to win the Moel y Gest race, the fifth event in the Joe Brown Midweek Series.

 The Menai youngster went astray on the summit and so Parkinson moved ahead and went on to win by 21 seconds from fellow vet Craig Jones.

 Jenny Heming also used the rough going to her advantage to overtake another teenager, Bronwen Jenkinson, to win the ladies' race.
