ROBERTS CLAIMS FIRST WIN
Meirionnydd's in-form Tomos Roberts recorded a massive pb in winning his first race, the Market Drayton 10k.
His previous best was 35.22 but he beat a good field to finish in an astonishing 32.31. In second place, 24 seconds behind, was Joe Brocklehurst (Shrewsbury), North Wales Cross-Country League winner in 2012-13.
Second in the M50 class was David Baugh (Denbigh, one of the region's most improved masters. He clocked 40.24, and Lisa Gittins (Buckley, L45) finished in 47.56.
