BRENDAN BEATS THE WIND, RAIN AND HILLS
Brendan Rothery's decision to give the Borders League fixture in New Brighton a miss paid off when he won the third Snowdonia Half-Marathon in Llanrwst.
As if the hills were not enough of a challenge, runners had to contend with rain and a strong wind, all of which affected their times.
Wrecsam Tri vet Helen Davies had an excellent run, finishing 21st overall and taking the ladies' title by almost six minutes.
