JONES MADE TO WORK HARD RETAIN TITLE

Aberystwyth's Felipe Jones retained his title in the Moel Siabod race, but in contrast with his three-minute win last year came home only just over a minute ahead of Matthew Roberts.

 There was another remarkable effort by 16-year-old new Welsh international John Spill who beat some highly experienced athletes to take third place.

 There was also a good battle between the Eryri ladies, with Jackie Lee beating Andrea Rowlands by 97 seconds.
