BROWN WINS IN GREEN
Buckley's Jez Brown had to work hard for his victory in the Green, Green Grass of Home race, the third in the Tuesday night Clwydian Hills series.
He was pushed all the way by Mark Williams (F1 Runners), who was back visiting the Vale of Clwyd, eventually finishing just seven seconds clear.

Three days earlier Simon Roberts (Buckley) finished fourth overall in the Waun Fach mountain race at Talgarth in Powys, which involved 2,000 feet of climbing over a 7-mile course.
Among the placings were: 4 S Roberts (Buck, 3rd M40) 54.54, 7 S Toogood (Buckley, 3rd M50) 57.55, 8 V Belshaw (Denbigh, M50) 58.57, 23 H Lewis (Buck) 63.09, 25 G Fletcher (Maldwyn) 63.23.
