GOLD FOR WREXHAM'S WILLIS
A week after finishing 16th in the UK inter-counties' cross-country championships in Birmingham Wrexham's Matthew Willis, representing Cheshire, won the English School's under-15s' championship in Donnington Park.
Welsh international Katie Parry, from Rhyl, was a member of the Leeds City team which finished 10th in the Northern six-stage road relays in Heaton Park, Manchester. Running the third leg, she took over in first place but slipped to third and was the fifth fastest on her stage.
