OUTTEN STARS IN WREXHAM 10K
Former Wrexham athlete James Mills had a happy return to his home town when he won the Helena Tipping 10k , but it was Colwyn Bay teenager Georgina Outten who was the undoubted stand-out performer of the day.
The tall Welsh international finished ninth overall in a time of 36.50, almost three minutes clear of the second lady, veteran Helen Davies.
Mills (Cardiff) and Wrexham M45 master Darren Rowlands went out in front from the start and the former never looked under any real threat as he went on to win by 47 seconds.
