WILLIAMS CLAIMS TRAIL RECORD

Former Bro Dysynni athlete Alun Williams was in cracking form in the recent Motatapu Miners Trail 15 race in South Island, New Zealand.

The race, which attracted almost 600 entries, is run over the historic gold-mining trails and involves over 600 metres of climbing.

The Barmouth runner, who emigrated with his friend and training partner Adrian Bailey, won in a new course record of 76.29, finishing over two-and-a-half minutes ahead of the runner-up.
