WILLIS TAKES SILVER IN BOLTON
A week after winning the English Schools' cross-country championships Wrexham AC's Mathew Willis hadanother superb run in the Schools' international at Bolton, finishing second behind Ireland's Patrick Maher in the junior boys' class and just three seconds adrift.
In the same race Maldwyn's Joseph Crutchley (Llanidloes) finished 21st, and Mathew's clubmate Christian Smith was 20th in the intermediate race.
In the intermediate girls' race Welsh champion Cari Hughes (Syr Thomas Jones) behind eight English girls, with Lily Davis (Mold Alun) 30th.
