Celtic Games

Menai's Cari Hughes claimed another trophy for her cupboard when she won the U18 1,50-metres at the Celtic Games in Grangemouth in a relatively comfortable 4-36.13.

Another gold went to Nathan Thomas (Colwyn Bay), who won the U18 hammer by a huge seven metres, his best throw of 63.04 being just outside his pb. He also took silver in the shot.

In the U18 long jump Chloe Hughes (Deeside) came third with a best leap of 5.68 and in the same age-group Maldwyn Harrier Lauren Williams finished second in the 400m hurdles in 6 2.75, just two-hundredths of a second behind the winner.
