IRISH VEST FOR JADE
Wrexham hammer-thrower Jade Williams broke the Welsh under-15 record in the Tailteann Games in Dublin last week with a massive throw of 53.45 and was rewarded with a place in the Irish Schools' U17 team for the Schools' International in Scotland.
The 14-year-old, who is also a member of the hercock club, finished fourth in the Tailte ann Games last year with a throw of almost six metres less than last week.
Last month she set a new club record of 44.21 metres.
