CAN YOU HELP?
Most of us, especially those of us of a certain age, have at least one pair of trainers that we no longer wear but are reluctant to throw out.
We are very fortunate compared with athletes in many Third World countries where trainers of any kind would be appreciated.
Former headmaster Bob Munden-Jones from Rhuddlan has for many years arranged for sports equipment, kit and other items to be delivered to Gambia and I told him I would appeal to North Wales athletes to donate unwanted trainers, so long as they are not falling to pieces.
If you and your clubmates can help please get in touch with me on gareth_anwen@talktalk.net or on 01745 - 888078 and I shall arrange to collect them, perhaps at a forthcoming race.
