Welsh Schools' XC

HUGHES SIBLINGS UNSTOPPABLE

Anglesey's Iolo and Cari Hughes completed a tremendous "double double" in winning their events at the Welsh Schools' cross-country championships in Brecon.

Both had moved up an age-group this time but they still managed to repeat last year's successes, adding to their massive haul of titles including the North Wales and inter-regional championships over the past year.

Wrexham's Christian Smith suffered a rare defeat, but by a hairsbreadth as he was caught on the line in the under-17s' race and given the same time as winner Jake Heyward.
