Alsager 5

DAVIES AND CROWE ON FORM

There were fewer North Wales runners than usual in the Alsager 5 which always attracts a quality field.

The race was won in 24.06 by GB international Tom Farrell (Borders), but Maldwyn's Andrew Davies was an excellent sixth in 24.55.

The first women home in 26.53 was Olympian Helen Clitheroe (Preston), who was also the first L40. Second in the class was Emma Crowe (Wrexham) in 29.47.

Other results of note included: 59 Gethin Holland (Aberystwyth) 28.16, 66 Gary Davies (Aberystwyth) 28.35, 71 (7th lady) Alison Lavender (Oswestry) 28.48, 85 John Morris (Denbigh) 29.31.
