Long Mynd Valley race

DEAD HEAT IN THE COLD

Mercia colleagues William Neill and Pete Vale crossed the finishing line together in the Long Mynd race in Shropshire, an 11.5-mile event involving 3,500 feet of ascents with plenty of mud and long climbs.

 In a field of over 200 Denbigh's Emma Collins finished 107th overall and won the L50 class.

 Among the placings were: 1 William Neill (Mercia, U23) 1-43.05, 2 Paul Vale (Mercia, M40) 1-43.05, 3 Tim Davies (Mercia) 1-45.50, 5 Richard Roberts (Eryri) 1-46.35, 19 Johnny Moore (Eryri, 2nd M45) 2-00.41, 107 Emma Collins (Denbigh, 1st L50) 2-32.41, 145 Kim Norman (Wrecsam Tri) 2-42.03, 155 Ashley Gauton (Denbigh) 2-45.18, 164 Linda Jones (Wrexham) 2-48.03, 165 Charles Ashley (Wrex) 2-48.03, 176 Kim Mills (Wrex) 2-50.54, 185 Richard James (Wrex) 2-53.32, 228 Peter Norman (Wrex, 2nd M70) 3-48.18.
