NW Road-Running Awards

DAVIES TAKE ROAD TITLE

Maldwyn's Andrew Davies, who is equally comfortable on road, country or fells, has won the North Wales Senior Road Runner of the Year title for the third time. He first won it in 2012 and in 2013 shared it with Eryri's Rob Samuel.

 With two wins and one second place in qualifying races he scored only four points, with Brendan Rothery (Eryri) second on 15 and Andy Edwards (Deestriders) third on 17.

 Other winners were:- Senior women: 1 Emma Crowe (Wrexham, for the seventh time)) 6, 2 Katie Parry (Leeds) 8, 3 Helen Davies (Wrecsam Tri) 18.

 The Masters trophies are based on age-grading, and the winners were:- Male: 1 Gary Norgrove (Wrecsam Tri) 85.26%, 2 Arwel Lewis (Eryri) 83.43%, 3 Darren Blazier (Abergele 83.02%. Ladies: 1 Brenda Jones (Bro Dysynni, for the eighth time) 86.15%, 2 Emma Collins (Denbigh) 85.56%, 3 Emma Crowe (Wrex) 85.52%.
