MOUNTFORD TAKES ANOTHER STEP TOWARDS GLASGOW
Former Deeside athlete David Mountford, who has his sights set on a place in the Wales team for this summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, gave another demonstration of his good form in the Herm Wilson Invitation indoor meeting in Wichita.
The Okalahoma University student won the 3,000m in 8-21.08, taking about six seconds off his previous best.
