JUNIORS GRAB THE GLORY
Two of the region's outstanding young athletes shared the glory in the Abergele 5, both turning in impressive performances.
Menai teenager Iolo Hughes, led from the start and although the experienced Brendan Rothery felt he would close the gap on reaching the tough hill on the return Hughes maintained his lead to win by nine seconds.
Georgia Garner (Colwyn Bay) was equally dominant, finishing almost a minute clear of clubmate Isabel Redfern and setting a new junior and senior championship record in the process.
