Four of North Wales's outstanding athletes were again in superb form at the Milton Keynes Cross Challenge.
In the U20s' race Iolo Hughes (Menai) finished second just 14 seconds behind Ireland's Kevin Mulcaire (Ennis) while in the senior men's event Andrew Davies (Stockport), winner of the Northern championships two weeks ago, finished fourth. He was 11 seconds behind reigning Welsh champion Dewi Griffiths (Swansea).
And on a good day for the Menai club Oliver Barbaresi also came second in the U15s' race - his first podium place in the Cross Challenge series - and Cai Linton was fourth in the U17s' event.
