BIRCH REGAINS MASTERS' TITLE
Abergele's Christine Birch regained the British Masters 5k title she last won in 2012 with another exceptional run in the championships in Horwich.
Her time of 22.43 was just four seconds down on her 2012 time and among those she beat in the L65 class was the doughty Dot Fellows.
Claire Martin (Telford) was second overall in 17.26and also among the medals was Ray Billington (Wrexham), who took bronze in the M80 category in 31.22.
Other North Walians who took part were the Prestatyn quartet of Russ Cheetham 21.48, Roger Harrison-Jones 26.08, Howard Beckett 26.33 and David Hughes 27.51.
