NW Junior Mountain Champs

"ANYTHING YOU CAN DO, I CAN DO BETTER"

New GB international John Spill, fresh from his success at last week's World Mountain Running Championships, put in a guest appearance at the North Wales Junior Championships on Llandudno's Great Orme, helping on the officiating side, but had to watch as his younger brother Michael stole the limelight.

Not only  did he win the U12s' race by a huge margin but he also demolished John's course record.

Other youngsters also proved that talent is inherited, as the winners included the offspring of North Wales 10k champion Tracey Llewellyn, of regular prizewinners Rob and Lisa Grantham and of Eryri Stalwart James McQueen.
