Stone 10k

GOOD AND NOT SO GOOD NEWS AT STONE

The match against Staffordshire produced home wins for the men and women but there was still plenty to be pleased about for the North Wales squad in the Stone 10k.

Katie Parry (Leeds) was first lady in both the inter-regional and open race, while 18-year-old Owen Roberts had a cracking debut for the region, finishing fourth overall and Dean Longley (Prestatyn) came right back to form.

It was not such a happy day for Amie Bagnall (Salford), who was on course for a pb when she was knocked to the ground and trampled on. Despite suffering cuts and bruises she managed to finish.

The North Wales results were: Dean Longley 33.53, Owen Roberts (Eryri) 34.20, John Morris (Denbigh) 34.25 (pb), Gary Wyn Davies (Aberystwyth) 35.49, Katie Parry 37.19, Anest Muller (West Chesh) 41.13, Gemma Morgans 42.45, Amie Bagnall 46.39.
