LONGLEY CLAIMS EASY WIN
A week after completing the final stage of the Welsh Castles Relay into Cardiff Prestatyn's Dean Longley was in South Wales again, this time claiming victory in the Parc Bryn Bach Parkrun near Merthyr.
He finished about a minute clear of his closest challenger in 16.40, considerably faster than his time in last month's Taste Academy 5k in Rhyl.
Meanwhile sisters Mia and Neisha Roberts were again in great form in the Conwy Parkrun. Mia, 12, was first lady home and fifth overall in 19.46, with 10-year-old Neisha 22nd overall and fifth lady in 22.48 despite having to stop to deal with a shoe problem.
