ACROWE RETAINS TITLE BUT VAUGHAN PULLS OUT
Wrexham's Emma Crowe retained her Welsh marathon title with another brilliant showing in London.
The veteran finished second in the L40 class in the open race - first place going to a certain P Radcliffe - as she clocked 2-49.03. Second in the L50 class was TV presenter and former Olympic runner Angharad Mair (Les Croupiers) in 2-58.
Meanwhile Eryri's Alun Vaughan, going for a third consecutive national win, went through the halfway stage in a nippy 70.50 but pulled out after 30k.
