Ras Fawr Llanddoged

LONGLEY COMES SECOND - AGAIN

Prestatyn's Dean Longley had to settle for second place again this year in the tough 12.5k Ras Fawr Llanddoged - but this time to veteran Darren Blazier, who finished behind him last year.

Longley was one second faster this time but the Abergele veteran improved considerably to take the title.

Last year's lady champion, Helen McArthur, was also faster this time but it was not good enough to catch Eryri's Andrea Rowlands, who is slowly returning to form.

 Results: 1 D Blazier (Abergele, M40) 47.03, 2 D Longley (Prestatyn) 47.14, 3 H Wharton (Cybi) 48.25, 4 J Ford (NWRR, M40) 48.45, 5 C Yorke (NWRR, M40) 49.42, 6 I Rowlands (Cybi, M40) 50.28. M50: 1 D Pryce (ua) 55.18, 2 K Slattery (NWRR) 55.35, 3 M Williams (Cybi) 58.08. M60: T Hill (Cybi) 63.44. M65: 1 E Davies (Eryri) 60.01, 2 D Gardner (NWRR) 63.08, 3 J Thomas (Buckley) 70.47.
