Two products of Deeside AAC set new personal bests last week - in events 3,000 miles apart.
David Mountford, who is studying in the States, won the 3,ooo-metres at the Arkansas Twilight meeting in Fayetteville in 8-19.28, taking eight seconds off his previous best.
Meanwhile Charlie Hulson (Sale) clocked 8-14.95 while coming second in the Trafford Grand Prix meeting in Stretford.
At the same meeting Trafford Oswestry's Alison Lavender also set a pb of 9-31.74 while finishing second lady.
