WIGNALL LEADS BANGOR SQUAD HOME
A week before they should clinch promotion to Division 1 of the Grand Prix Express North Wales Cross-Country League Bangor University students travelled to Stirling for the BUCS championships.
The men finished 22nd overall in the 11.1k race, with James Wignall their highest scorer in 62nd place with a time of 37.44. He was followed by: 107 Callum Rowlinson 39.19, 109 Daniel Kashi 39.25, 172 Joe Hudack 42.17, 210 Simon Anetts 44.03 and 246 David Cooper 46.17.
Becki Taylor was Bangor's only representative in the women's 6.4k race, and she finished 135th in 27.07. Others included: 19 Ffion Price (Cardiff Met, from Llandrindod) 23.51 and 393 Amie Bagnall (Manchester Met, from Prestatyn) 34.41.
