Edinburgh Cross

BRILLIANT SHOW BY HULSON

Charlie Hulson (Sale) from Rhosesmor produced what was probably his best performance in a GB vest when he finished fifth in the senior men's race in the Great Edinburgh Cross-Country International.

The former Deeside athlete showed from the start that he had the confidence to take on a quality field and led for a while on the second of four laps.

Though the 2013 champion Chris Derrick (USA) gradually eased away Hulson dug in over what were very tricky conditions and was the second of the GB finishers, only eight seconds down on Derrick.
